The science

Built on what we know about behaviour change.

Three lines of research converge on one insight. Insight alone doesn't change behaviour. Structure does.

The "if–then" effect.

Gollwitzer and Sheeran's 2006 meta-analysis (94 studies) showed that linking a goal to a specific cue — "if Tuesday morning, then call my report" — more than doubles follow-through. This is the principle behind our action cards.

Behaviour needs three ingredients.

Stanford's BJ Fogg established that behaviour happens when motivation, ability, and a prompt converge. And that making something easier matters more than making someone want it more. This is why our daily nudges are small, specific, and timed to the coachee's pattern.

Coaching works — when the work continues.

The 2023 workplace coaching meta-analysis (Cannon-Bowers et al.) and ICF's own research show coaching produces measurable change. The gap is between the session and what happens after. That's the gap we close.
